We defy you to try not to have an interesting night at The Turf Club. Fortunately for us they removed the clown lounge, because clowns are hell's gatekeepers. When you go make sure you find out what we're talking about. One of our favorite places to check out live music, especially with the right line-up. Dive in Gopher fans, the Beer is cold. On a scale of one to ten with 10 being the most sophisticated establishment, Gopher Bar grabs the number one seed on the opposite end of the scale. Over the years we’ve come to fancy ourselves quite proficient within the wonderful world of dive bars, and Gopher Bar ranks up there with some of the nations best. The old school pic of the Gopher Hockey Team in jockstraps, and dead animal heads on the wall really sets the mood, and they’ve got one of the best damn chili dogs you’ll ever have. Warning: the beers can very easily lead to shots, so make sure you’ve got plenty of greenbacks on hand if you plan on making a night of it. Because the Gopher Bar doesn’t take down the Christmas lights in July, and they don’t take American Express. Tip your bartenders.

Got some troubles that only a few drinks can cure? We've got just the place. The bartenders don't mess around and put off a bit of a soup-nazi vibe, but we're sure they're very nice deep down. It's a dark and dingy little place with to get a cheap buzz and not be bothered. The vibe is laid-back grimy chic and the bartenders are there to help, in more ways than one. They act as nurse, psychiatrist and dominatrix all wrapped up in one delightful package.
