Monty's is one of those fun after work spots with a great happy hour and good food. It is right on the water and just feels like the start of a weekend or a vacation. Not surprising it is one of the most popular happy hour spots in the area, especially Friday nights. Try the Pain Remover #3, it can cure anything except the next morning's guilt! Monty's also has a location right on the water in Coconut Grove. Hours of Operation: Sun-Thu 11am-11pm, Fri-Sat 11am-1am

Joe's is king in Miami when it comes to restaurants. You won't be making reservations on this site or any other site because they don't take them. Prepare to wait in line or grease the maitre'd (after your meal). When checking in say "I will come see you after dinner" and you might not have to wait for more than an hour. If you don't immediately come see him after dinner you will be swimming with the fish before you start your car. Hours of Operation: Lunch:(Begins Oct. 16th) 11:30am-2:00 pm Tuesday-Saturday Dinner: Monday-Thursday 5pm-10pm Friday and Saturday 5pm-11pm Sunday Bar Service 3pm

Prime Blue is one of those perfect versatile restaurants that will please everyone. The steaks and seafood are fantastic (or they wouldn't be on here) but the location and view are what sets it apart. If you get sick and tired of watching boats pass by while you eat or enjoy happy hour then you are banished from this site. Lunch: Monday - Friday: 11:30am - 3:00pm Dinner: Sunday - Thursday: 4:30pm - 10:00pm, Friday - Saturday: 4:30pm - 12:00pm

This place is incredible and is the definition of what this site is all about! It's down home, authentic, homemade Italian recipes in a cozy setting. The chef, Marc Randazzo, makes the soups and sauces from scratch each and every morning. He could also beat the shit out of you if he wanted since he is an ex-professional boxer. Lucky for you he would rather serve you a great meal and treat you like a long lost cousin. The restaurant is cozy, and the dishes are intended to be shared. This guarantees you and your date will be snuggled in close!

Here we go again with the mom & pop dessert suggestion but in this case it's a husband and wife serving up the best damn homemade cupcakes in Miami. All of the flavors are completely unique and original and the menu changes daily. They also have fantastic coffee which should not be over looked.

We couldn't have been more impressed with Barton G if someone hooked us up to laughing gas and slipped us some happy pills. For starters there's plenty of history here since the place opened as Gatti's in 1925. Out of fear for losing a limb we felt compelled to mention that little tidbit. It took us a few wrong turns to find it but once we did we were blown away by the atmosphere and attention to detail. Each dish is prepared with the freshest finest ingredients and presented in spectacular flare. The desserts, particularly the "chocolate fun-do", are decadent. This is a first-class experience from start to finish. Hours: Dinner: Sunday- Thursday: 6:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday - Saturday: 6:00pm - 12:00pm

B.E.D. "beverage, entertainment, and dining" or so they say. What it really stands for is whatever you might get into tonight has been done three times over there and over there. This place is just as likely to stay up until 5 a.m. on a Wednesday or a Saturday which we commend. You will want to check their website for events and happenings. Fashion shows and private parties fill out the calendar.

This is more of a dessert suggestion but it would be a shame not to mention them for their coffee as well. We have already established they have some of the best homemade cupcakes in South Florida but throw in some fresh gourmet coffee and you have a match made in heaven.
