2007 Orange Bowl Champions, the Cardinals put on a show every time they hit the field. Papa John's Cardinal Stadium is a fan friendly stadium with no bad seats. An addition is also planned and should open for the 2009 season, adding more seating and luxury boxes. Papa John's Cardinal Stadium: http://louisville.edu/athletics/papajohns
The fourth Friday of every September, St. Xavier Trinity is a time honored Louisville Tradition. With nearly fifty years of tradition, and crowd sizes that have reached 35,000 (no that is NOT a typo), this game is a must see if you are in town. Held at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium, tickets can be bought at the gate, or through the school's ticket offices. St. Xavier: (502)-635-5300 or Trinity: (502)-736-2124.

More then just the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs hosts a Fall and Spring meet and is a destination for true sports fans. The first Saturday in May (the Derby) offers fun for all. The infield experience is a mix of every type of person. You may have such a good time, that you will go home without seeing a single horse. Seating for the derby is very tough to obtain but it is sold every year through approved vendors.
