When it comes to oysters, Ocean Ave. Seafood is a clear standout. Their raw bar, which is likely the largest in all of LA, features plump and juicy oysters from both coasts. You can also choose to order the Oyster and Wine sampler, which involves six different types of oysters paired with tasters of four types of white wine. Before you dive into the sublime oysters, make sure your date is someone you really like. We wouldn’t want that aphrodisiac power to cloud your judgment. Mental note: don’t miss their "Oyster Hour" from 4pm-6:30pm Mon-Fri and 3pm-5pm on the weekends. Hours: Sun-Thu 11am-10pm, Fri-Sat 11am-11pm

The finest in West Coast seafood can be found at the Enterprise Fish Co., which is housed in cute little ol’ historic building in SanMo. It’s literally a hop, skip and a jump from Venice Beach. So, of course, they serve up fresh and delicious shellfish from their Oyster Menu, so you can throw back a half a dozen along with a cold, frosty draft of Sierra Nevada. Sneaky loves the Happy Hour here (hello, oyster shooters) from 4pm-7pm on Mon-Fri and a special one for locals on Sundays from 8pm-10pm. Shuck ‘n jive, baby! We’re not sure what’s better – the fresh seafood or the breathtaking view. At any rate, it’s the place to be for the freshest in shellfish. Get lost in an oyster sampler of Malpeque, Blue Point and Kusshi, a cold brew and a perfect sunset (remember to pack your shades as it gets quite bright). Folks, it doesn’t get much better than this. If you are looking for that high-class oyster, head on over to where else: Beverly Hills where Joaquim Splichal doesn’t disappoint at the Patina Group’s latest venture, Paper Fish. With chic décor in a comfortable setting, you can enjoy your oysters on the half shell with a twist. These ocean delicacies are served with a Meyer Lemon Mignonette. Very sassy, indeed.
