Race to the border for our "Numero Uno" choice! It serves up tasty bites like the Plantain Empanadas, which are roasted plantains stuffed with black beans, poblano, & cotija cheese, or the Roasted Lamb Tacos with strips of poblano chiles and manchego cheese. Tasty right? That's not all, the bright, cheerful decor adds to the experience. So run don't walk to try a plate of something, anything. And make sure to stop by the happy hour on weekdays from 4pm to 7pm. Imported beers and mojitos are $4, and food like quesadillas and green corn tamales are all $3. Run. Don't walk. Trust us. Open Mon 5pm-10pm; Tue-Thu,Sun 11:30am-10pm; Fri-Sat 11:30am-11pm

A laidback, easy vibe makes this place great for happy hour as well as big groups. If you're too lazy to get your ass on over, call up LA Bite and they'll deliver El Cholo to you right at home. Once upon a time on our way to the beach, we stopped off at Baja Cantina and ended up staying for a while. Why you ask? First and foremost the people watching is outstanding and to say the very least-it's entertaining. And a solid menu boasting the Cochinita Pibil Taquitos (cirtus roasted pork in corn tortillas, served with oaxacan guacamolito & sour cream), the Enchilada Cangrejo Con Arroz (crab meat rolled in a corn tortilla and covered with lemon-pepper sweet wine sauce, served with mexican rice), and the Papaya Chicken Quesadilla stuffed with jack cheese, grilled chicken, fresh hawaiian papaya and mango chutney salsa. So is that enough to convince you to go? We hope so because we're on our way right now.... Open Mon 12am-1am, 11am-1am; Tue-Sat 11am-1am; Sun 11am-12am
