This neighborhood-feeling bar is a bit of an odd bird in the heart of Beverly Hills shopping district, and is well loved for that very reason. Happy Hour promises half off of mixed drinks and $4 bottled beer. The apps are cheap, hot and tasty. Stay past Happy Hour on Tuesdays for” Pumpkin Pie Night" with pie being served from 10 pm to close. They recently remodeled and replaced the “Hard Rock” look with neutral tones and giant black and white pictures of Sid Vicious, Sting and other iconic musicians. Amazing Latin bites are on sale at The Border Grill! This extensive and very special Happy Hour provides drinks like margaritas, mojitos and imported beers at $4. The food deals include seven items for $3 and two items for $5, plus daily specials. For a mere $31 you can run the full tasting menu and walk out very happy and full from unique and flavorful dishes. The portions are huge, and they are most famous for their buffalo wings and potato skins (the chili cheese skins are deadly…in a good way). This busy sports bar is right in the middle of the Promenade, so expect a party. It’s a great place to catch the game or belt your favorite tunes at Karaoke night (Wed 9pm). This popular spot has dark wood interior and is thoughtfully adorned with velvet touches and pressed-tin. Happy Hour is abundant with food and drink specials and the mushroom quesadillas are especially yummy. They often have free apps on the ground floor on weekdays. The crowd is a mix of UCLA students and young professional locals coming to blow off some steam and check out the game. Q’s is most definitely a pick up spot for the young and beautiful.
