The theater has been the host to many off-Broadway shows, concerts, movie premiers, screenings, dance, symphony, symposia and local talent since its inception in 1939. It's easy to overlook but shouldn't be missed - the talent is exceptional and parking is easy! The Actors' Gang is one of Los Angeles' most enduring theatre ensembles. Founded in 1981 by a group of renegade theatre artists (including Tim Robbins), the Gang's mission is to create bold, original works for the stage and daring reinterpretations of the classics. Their work is raw, immediate, socially minded, and crafted with the highest artistic standards. In addition to their collection of acclaimed works, the Gang also has an amazing education and community outreach program that offers special rates on shows and opportunities for young artists to learn about the wonderful world of live theatre.
