Hidden near the 3rd Street Promenade, the dark and sexy vibe at this oh-so-smooth R&B joint by the beach seems way more Chicago than Santa Monica. Even the friendly, unpretentious audience where total strangers become friends by the end of the night is totally Chi-town. Harvelle's features blues and jazz performances and serves a variety of beer, wine, and top-shelf liquor. Also, check out the “Cevin’s Deadly Sins” martini menu. You know you’re that naughty. It’s blues on the cheap with covers running between $3 - $8, especially if you show up before 10pm. Hours: Mon. 5pm – 2am; Tues. – Fri. 5pm – 2am; Sat. 8pm – 2am; Sun. 8pm–12am
