Located on the east side of Santa Monica at Arizona Avenue, this property is a few blocks south of Wilshire Boulevard. While the hotel lacks a pool and is not located on the beach, its reasonable rates are something of a bargain in pricey Santa Monica. This Mission-inspired hotel expands on Frank Lloyd Wright's love of Japanese minimalism. A lovely koi pond and small garden dappled with rocks mark the entrance to the hotel, which is an amalgam of a Swiss chalet and an Osaka tea house.
