This is the largest art museum in the western United States – and it feels like it. LACMA's seven-building complex is located on twenty acres in the heart of Los Angeles, making it one of the most popular museums around. Its holdings encompass the history of art and there are plenty of traveling exhibits to keep you and your traveling companions satisfied. While the price of admission is high, LACMA makes up for it by holding several free admission times throughout the year, with free live jazz on the terrace on summer Friday afternoons.
