The Staples Center is home to five of LA's professional sports franchises: the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, the AFL's Los Angeles Avengers and the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks. It's a big task to host so many teams, yet the Staples Center seems to rise effortlessly to the challenge. Always clean and comfortable, the Staples Center legitimately doesn't have a bad seat in the house. As with most arenas hosting professional sports teams, the prices for tickets, the fees to park and the cost of food are expensive, but that's to be expected. If you have an opportunity to sit in a luxury seat, please do - your rear end will thank you. Hours: Vary

Parking is never an issue here. Dodger Stadium holds 56,000 blue crew fans, and the stadium's parking lot seems to hold twice as many automobiles. While most other major league parks are more "intimate," Dodger Stadium thrives on its vastness, allowing fans to take in the game without feeling like they're packed on top of each another. In recent years, the famous Dodger Dogs (10-inch franks) have been better than the club they're named after, but don't let that detour you. Dodger's Stadium has been a true slice of baseball Americana since 1962, and a landmark that LA natives are justified to embrace. Hours: Vary

It's huge. 90,000-spectator-capacity-huge. The USC Trojans play here and will for the next 40-odd years thanks to a recent lease agreement between the University and the Memorial Coliseum Commission. As with all gigantic stadiums, there isn't much of an intimate feel. However, what the Coliseum lacks in intimacy, it more than makes up for in sheer energy, especially when the home team runs in a touchdown. The Coliseum is a national landmark and is, shockingly, not supported by taxpayer revenues. The Coliseum is what your parents like to call, "self sufficient. Hours: Vary.

USA Soccer is based here, as are Major League Soccer clubs the LA Galaxy and Chivas USA (and the Major League Lacrosse team, the LA Riptide). But perhaps the real draw to visit the Home Depot Center is the English midfielder the Galaxy brought in, one Mr. David Beckham. As for the Center itself, it's actually comprised of several state-of-the-art facilities. There's a 27,000-seat soccer stadium, 8,000-seat tennis stadium, 10,000-seat track and field facility, and a 2,450-seat indoor velodrome. And all this is on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. Opened in June of 2003, the Home Depot Center still has that new car smell, which we all love. Hours: Vary

We love that the Rose Bowl is home to the world's largest flea market. But more importantly, we love that the Rose Bowl is home to UCLA Bruin football. Constructed in 1922, the Rose Bowl is a national historic landmark capable of cramming 90,000 or so fans into its hallowed interior. When the weather is right, there's no better place to spend a Saturday afternoon. And they also host a little annual football game called the Rose Bowl, which you may be familiar with if you don't live under a rock.
