Lawndale Art Center is distinct in the fact that it focuses on Houston area artists and hosts special events including three annual events such as Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the 20th Century Modern Market, and The Big Show. Bering & James is a family owned and operated gallery featuring many skilled artists and contains abstract works by owners Blakely Bering and Austin James. Winter Street Studios is an exciting place for artists to create masterpieces using a variety of styles and materials. I know your dying to check this place out, but don’t get too excited yet because the studios are only open to the public every second Saturday.
