Right on Woodward and attached to the Magic Stick and Garden Bowl, the Majestic Theatre is there for music lovers, and music lovers only. If you see a show here, better be prepared to stand or dance all night because there are no seats. Huge bar along the back of the theatre make getting a refill pretty quick and easy. Prices for shows here are usually pretty reasonable making it a favorite place among the locals and the entertainers. Open Mon-Sat 5pm-2am

Better known as the State Theater (now Clear Channel sponsored hence the name change) great place for a few thousand people to cram in have some drinks and here some great music. Helped to start the entertainment district in Detroit. After a show, make sure you head next door to the State Bar for a drink or two before trying to exit with the masses. Box Office Hours: The Fillmore Detroit Box office does not have regular business hours for walk up ticket sales. The Box Office at is open 2 hours prior to doors on all event days. Was once known as Pine Knob before selling out to corporate interests. A summer is incomplete if you don't make it to at least one concert here. Large hill accommodates the majority of the crowd on beautiful, summer nights. From Jimmy Buffet, to Dave Matthews Band, to local favorite Kid Rock, DTE is a great venue for a concert on a summer evening in southeast Michigan! Think DTE Energy Theatre except smaller and more intimate. While DTE has a capacity of 18,000, Meadowbrook, situated on a local college campus, holds less then half of that. One third of concert goers will be treated to seats under the pavilion, while the rest will have to make do on the lawn. Only open in the summer, Meadowbrook usually holds 40-50 events throughout their season.
