Some people call it "The Bubble" because practically everything one needs (restaurants, clothing, grocery, bars, movies) can be found within walking distance of the development. Aside from the normal amenities - grocery, pharmacy, dry cleaning, etc. - this pedestrian friendly shopping development boasts a movie theater, various mid-to-high end restaurants, nearby bars, a Starbucks, unique boutique shopping, and about everything else you could want. It's about as close as you can get to living and shopping like you're in New York in Dallas.
The project includes the American Airlines Center and the new 33-story W Dallas Victory Hotel and Residences. Other structures are planned such as the 45-story One Victory Tower, high-rise apartments, condominium towers, as well as retail and green spaces. The centerpiece of Victory Park's retail space is LFT, a new 30,000 concept store from Ort Varona and Glenn Singer, the people behind Dallas' Octane and Premium93. LFT, a contemporary "boutique department store" will showcase designer fashion by the likes of Paul Smith, Z Zegna, James Perse, Chip & Pepper, J. Lindeberg, and Diane von Furstenberg. Part of the development will include an area (Victory Plaza) reminiscent of Times Square in New York City.
Lake Lewisville is a 29,592-acre lake that reaches a depth of 67 feet at normal elevation, with a water temperature in the summer usually ranging from 79 degrees in the deeper waters to about 85 degrees as the surface temperature. That's the boring details. The reason you go here is for Party Cove, where the ladies get wild and the beer flows freely amongst the tied together boat flotillas that develop. Very similar to Devil's Cove on Lake Travis in Austin, or Lake Havasu in Arizona.

The Katy Trail is a bicycling and hiking path that runs through the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, Texas (USA), following the path of the old Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, which was known as MKT or the Katy. It's great if you want to go for a walk/run, rollerblade, bike ride, etc. and check out the local talent while you're doing it.
