It's almost a toss-up between Mitchell's Ocean club and the Columbus Fish Market for best seafood...perhaps because the two restaurants share the same owner. We give the nod to Ocean Club for its slightly more adventurous menu and contemporary dining room. You really CAN get fresh fish in this landlocked city. Apparently the catch o' the day is transported in from the coast via rocket cars or something. Ocean Club will not disappoint, though it ain't cheap, either. If the icthyophobe in your group doesn't want to order from the raw bar, Ocean Club also serves up some top-notch Mitchell's steaks. Are you thinking surf 'n' turf? So are we! Guess what they sell at the Columbus Fish Market? If you guessed chili, then would you mind changing two twenties for a ten? Seriously though, folks, the CFM does serve up a fresh catch. The menu changes often...as in twice a day...to accommodate the latest delivery. Arrrr...ye landlubbers may even break into Pirate-speak after a meal in the Captain's Quarters (that's a banquet room to you and me). Mo-Th 11-10 / Fr 11-11 / Sa 4-11 / Su 4-9 Open Mon-Thu 11am-10pm; Fri 11am-11pm; Sat 4pm-11pm; Sun 4pm-9pm

McCormick & Schmick's has dozens of locations nationwide...and for good reason. This is some delicious seafood. It helps that you can wash your tilapia down with some unique libations. McCormick & Schmick's served us our first Blood and Sand cocktail. It was hard to stop after one...so we didn't! McCormick & Schmick's has a pretty extensive list of "fresh catch" items, but we're hooked on the stuffed Atlantic salmon. Highly recommended!

Marino's is a bit of a dive in the mold of the old Arthur Treacher's, but for good, cheap fish and chips, look no further. It's a family friendly neighborhood joint. Plus it's a nice alternative to your 500th consecutive lunch at Subway...and just as inexpensive. Peg leg and eyepatch not required...but certainly recommended.
