The latest creation from barmaster Elizabeth Lessner, the Tip Top pulls an eclectic mix of Columbus' downtown residents, serving up comfort food, whiskey drinks, and a hodge-podge of non-traditional drafts. Hmm...should I go for the Bell's Two Hearted Ale or the Pabst Blue Ribbon? Why labor over such decisions? Tip Top is open until 2 AM every damn day...so order both! Either goes well with the pot roast sandwich or Betty's Mac 'n' Cheese.

Yee-haw! Head on down to the Surly Girl Saloon for some fine food and unpretentious drinks. Sometimes you want a martini, but this is not that venue. Sometimes you want vanilla vodka mixed with diet Dr. Pepper. This is THAT venue (and the drink is called a Dr. Feelgood). They have a good two dozen beers on tap, each of which goes great with their menu of comfort food (Frito Pie, creamed chicken over biscuits, meatloaf, etc). If we haven't sold you yet, show up on Tuesdays for Punk Rock Aerobics or Wednesdays for Open Mic Comedy Night. Top it off with the fact that Surly is open until 2 AM every day, and you'll agree that this is no bar...this is a saloon!

Bodega is where indie hipsters go when they want to drink beer. And with nearly 50 taps and 100 bottled variations, you can too! Pull on that ironic T-shirt and belly up for some friendly and comely bartenders (psst - ask for Erin). They have been known to offer samples if you're not sure what to drink. They're all effective at washing down any of the delicious panini sandwiches, whether during happy hour or late night.

Bar Louie is a Chicago-based chain that has made itself right at home in two Columbus locations. The Park Street location is ideal for warm-weather happy hours with its inviting patio and wall of retractable garage doors. If the patio is full, tuck yourself away in one of Bar Louie's comfy booths, or steal away to the loft which has its own bar. The music is cranked up pretty loud...but Sneaky says if it's too loud, you're too old!
