Soak up last night's booze with delicious omelettes, breakfast burritos, and sandwiches. Want to add tomatoes and hold the onions? No problem. First Watch is exceedingly accommodating of any request. The coffee is sharp, and the ingredients are fresh. The staff look a little dork-grunge in their short-sleeved plaid shirts, but they seem so genuinely friendly that you'd still invite them over for a cookout. Just prepare to wait 20+ minutes for a table. Seven Columbus locations. Mon-Sun 7-2:30 PM ("Egg" = "Open", "No Egg" = "Closed")

More than a restaurant, more than a diner, more than a greasy spoon, Nancy's is an experience. There is a reason that OSU football players ring the restaurant most mornings waiting for a table. First off: no menus. Nancy's staff will tell you what they have that day. And it will be served hot and fresh at your table about 90 seconds after you order. Still not sold? No prices either. At Nancy's, you pay what you feel the meal was worth. Shell out at least a fiver, you cheap bastard! Important notes for virgins: there is no Nancy, and you must "eat it and beat it." Someone wants your table, slowpoke. Hours can vary widely, but roughly as follows: Mon-Thu 6-2 and 4-7 / Fri 6-2 / Sat 6-noon / Sun 8-noon

Northstar is where beautiful people have brunch. It may even be a tad pretentious, but all is forgiven, because the food rocks! Plenty of organic and veggie options, plus many ingredients are locally-grown. One can even have...dare I suggest it...a healthy brunch at Northstar. It's a touch on the pricey side, but it's a pretty unique experience in a city full of restaurant chains. Northstar gets busy and is seat-yourself, so be careful going during optimal brunching times - you may have to hover for a table. Sun-Thu 7a-10p / Fri, Sat 7a-11p

First off, you should know that the Starliner Diner has its own special brand of kitsch that cannot truly be described...only experienced. It's very, uh...Mercury Mission, which in no way explains the Cuban-themed brunch menu. But who cares, because it is delicioso! The huevos rancheros, chiliquiles, and omelettes will all fill your gut. Breakfast items are served as last as 3 PM on weekends, so even if you don't get out of bed until the crack of noon, you should be able to schlep over to the city's west side for a rib-sticking meal. Due Amici (Italiano for "two friends") sports the finest Sunday brunch in the downtown core. Bide your time until noon when the alcohol can begin to flow legally. The dining room, bar/lounge, and outdoor patio all provide unique views, so pick a seat, order a little tomotoey hair of the dog, and get to work on that nasty hangover...even you earned it by hitting the sauce at Due Amici the night before. Mon-Thu 11:30-10 / Fri-Sat 11:30-11

Rise & Dine is a small chain of restaurants stick-to-your ribs breakfast, brunch, and lunch. The menu is pretty impressive, with omelettes, benedicts, pancakes, and a wealth of breakfast meats (mmm...bacon). Portions are large, so you'll go home sated. Their slogan is "We'll see you tomorrow" because you'll be back. Get it? Five locations in Columbus, with one right next to Nationwide Arena. Open daily 6:30a-2p
