Get ready for the home of the Happy Buddha! We imagine that Buddha is smiling because he fattened himsef up on the best General Tso's chicken in the city. China Dynasty is rare among Chinese restaurants in that dining in is just as desirable as carrying out. This year will almost certainly mark China Dynasty's tenth consecutive year as the city's best Chinese restaurant...and who are we to argue? They have a colossal buffet on Sundays if you really want to fill up. Mo-Th 11-10 / Fr-Sa 11-10:30 / Su 11-9

In a market that has produced a glut of Pan-Asian/sushi restaurants, Haiku has been a rock of consistency. Among the most popular restaurants in the Short North, Haiku has a trendy, artsy feel to it. The vibe is a little different on the patio, where diners intermingle with passers-by on High Street, especially entertaining during Gallery Hop on the first Saturday of each month. Many Columbusites recognize Haiku as their favorite sushi restaurant, so reservations are recommended. Open M-Th 11-10 / Fr,Sa 11-11:30 / Sun 4-11

Lemongrass is a consistently solid performer in a part of town that has a few too many Pan-Asian/sushi restaurants. The decor is clean and tastefully appointed but still packs a lot of character. Although the sushi is extremely good, you may want to venture out of your comfort zone and try one of their entrees. In a typical Asian restuarant, you just won't see dishes like Mediterranean salmon or seared cajun scallops. When Lemongrass says "fusion," they mean it! Su,Mo: 11:30-10 / Tu-Sa 11:30-11:30

Shoku rocks the spicy tuna sushi roll like no one else in town. The restaurant is intimate (that's a code word, meaning "the ladies will love it") and they deliver an excellent dining experience. The edamame is delicious, as are the traditional and contemporary entrees that dot the menu. There's always some joker who bangs Shoku's decorative gong en route to the bathroom. Please don't be that guy. The service is not exceptionally fast, so kick back, enjoy your your company, and take comfort in knowing you'll be enjoying some of the best sushi and/or Asian cuisine the city has to offer. The Japanese Steakhouse is your classic Hibachi grill. The cooks know all of the usual tricks (shrimp tail in the pocket and/or hat, egg juggling, hot oil flame-up...you know the drill). They have consistently pulled in business, perhaps in part because of their proximity to the convention center. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but tasty. Sneaky will recommend the Japanese Steakhouse to those of you who want to keep the kids entertained or are part of a large group that feels like being noisy. The restaurant also features an extensive menu of both hot and cold sake to cleanse the palate (and numb the senses) between courses. Open M-F 11:30-9, Sat 5-10

Sure, PF Chang's is a chain, but that doesn't make their lettuce wraps any less delicious! Sneaky has always appreciated their make-it-yourself sauce kit, too, because we appreciate the spice. Columbus' Easton Town Center is a shopping mecca that has few rivals in the midwest, so you've got a ton of casual dining options available. So if you want something quasi-Asian, no need to head downtown. A dinner at Chang's will treat you right. Open M-Th, Su 11-11, F/S 11-midnight
