Although not technically a spa (actually we're not sure what Equivita is; let us know if you figure it out!), Equivita offers up the best and most comprehensive massage services in the city. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the massage rooms offer comfort, privacy, and relaxation. Bonus: a 60 minute massage actually lasts 60 minutes! Your clothes-changing time doesn't count against you, so feel free to show up in something other than velcro-release sweatpants...I mean, unless you really like them.

C.O. Bigelow calls itself an apothecary or a chemist (how vintage!), but it is first and foremost a place to buy bath and beauty products. Tons and tons of them, in fact. The back room, however, is home to a vast array of personal care services. Bigelow's staff have a keen sense of service and style, so you'll leave feeling a lot purtier than when you arrived. Considering the world's only Bigelow shops are in Manhattan and Columbus (they also do quite a bit of business over the 'net), a visit here puts you in rather elite company.

Charles Penzone consistently ranks as the city's best day spa, pehaps in part because their facility is so big. Services include hair cutting and styling, manicures, pedicures, facials, massage, hydrotherapy, makeup, hair removal, and all sorts of things that we've probably never even thought of. Penzone's serves more Central Ohio customers than any other spa and continually wins local awards, so they must be doing something right.
