Standing outside of Club 185, you will never accuse them of having the most beautiful sign in the world, but there is plenty of beauty on the inside. Besides a solid beer selection, this neighborhood bar has a great singles scene that is astonishingly balanced between males and females. The food...get the burger...is surprisingly good, too. Just try not to get any ketchup on your shirt. Open Mon-Fri 11am-2:30am; Sat 1pm-2:30am; Sun 1pm-12am

Who knows beer selection better than the Irish! This family owned pub is more than just a St. Patty's Day staple. They also serve the best pint of Guinness in town. Byrne's packs 'em in for both happy hour and late night benders. Bartenders are quick with the wit and occasionally tell a joke over the PA system. There are plenty of fine young twenty-something lads and lassies about, so drag yourself away from that Golden Tee machine and mingle a little!

Novak's is a well-established, unassuming bar in a prime location near Nationwide Arena and the Convention Center. Even on slow nights, the place seems to be filled up by the long bar, two pool tables, and narrow hallways. Weekends can be claustrophobic. Novak's best features are its comely barstaff and the rooftop deck that offers peeping Toms a chance to sneak a peek into rooms at the hotel across the street. Generally drawing a younger crowd, Novak's is a great place to get drunk any night of the week.

Yes, it has an awful name, so locals just refer to it as "Frogbear." Don't be misled by the thin strip of concrete patio that greets you. Frogbear is an excellent after-work meeting place. The cavernous inside fills up quickly and hosts crowd-pleasing cover bands on most weekend nights. Frogbear is probably the cheesiest bar in the Arena District, but cheese and eye candy go hand in hand. After a hard day at work, isn't that all you really need? Whiplash victims are advised to not drink at Frogbear until the neck muscles are rehabbed enough to handle all the rubbernecking.

The southern anchor of the Park Street scene, Brothers is Columbus' biggest off-campus college gathering place. Late nights skew to the 21-25 age group, but happy hours draw professionals of all ages from downtown. Brothers is a midwest chain of bars that serve up lots of draft beer tequila shots while treating guests to an abudace of TV screens, pool tables, and a large patio.
