Woe to he who does not include Bob's Bar...the self-proclaimed cultural hub of the Midwest...in a discussion of Columbus' best beer selection. Bob's boasts over 200 different beers. 200!!! We didn't even know that many beers existed! We know their menu includes Redbridge Gluten Free, but have yet to confirm whether or not they carry Budweiser & Clamato (yes, it exists; look it up). Bob's is a friendly northside neighborhood bar/tavern worthy of your hard-earned cash. Since their happy hour lasts until 8 PM, that cash will last you awhile, too.

Bodega is where indie hipsters go when they want to drink beer. And with nearly 50 taps and 100 bottled variations, you can too! Pull on that ironic T-shirt and belly up for some friendly and comely bartenders (psst - ask for Erin). They have been known to offer samples if you're not sure what to drink. They're all effective at washing down any of the delicious panini sandwiches, whether during happy hour or late night.

Standing outside of Club 185, you will never accuse them of having the most beautiful sign in the world, but there is plenty of beauty on the inside. Besides a solid beer selection, this neighborhood bar has a great singles scene that is astonishingly balanced between males and females. The food...get the burger...is surprisingly good, too. Just try not to get any ketchup on your shirt. Open Mon-Fri 11am-2:30am; Sat 1pm-2:30am; Sun 1pm-12am

Who knows beer selection better than the Irish! This family owned pub is more than just a St. Patty's Day staple. They also serve the best pint of Guinness in town. Byrne's packs 'em in for both happy hour and late night benders. Bartenders are quick with the wit and occasionally tell a joke over the PA system. There are plenty of fine young twenty-something lads and lassies about, so drag yourself away from that Golden Tee machine and mingle a little!

The latest creation from barmaster Elizabeth Lessner, the Tip Top pulls an eclectic mix of Columbus' downtown residents, serving up comfort food, whiskey drinks, and a hodge-podge of non-traditional drafts. Hmm...should I go for the Bell's Two Hearted Ale or the Pabst Blue Ribbon? Why labor over such decisions? Tip Top is open until 2 AM every damn day...so order both! Either goes well with the pot roast sandwich or Betty's Mac 'n' Cheese.

Once THE home of the Grandview/Upper Arlington scene, Brazenhead still boasts an impressive beer selection, a happenin' patio, and plenty of opportunities to inadvertantly grope members of the opposite sex. Added bonus: the bar, like Ron Burgandy's apartment, smells of rich mahogany!
