The band experiments within a unique structure, drawing from classic rock and psychedelic pioneers such as the Grateful Dead, The Doors, and the Band, as well as jam heavy weights such as Phish, Widespread Panic, Moe, and the Black Crowes; even entering the weird realm of bands like The Mars Volta, Ween and Tool. Headlining the show is Stuck in Kaos, a major label Jager sponsored band out of Altoona, PA. Up next we have Blitzkrieg favorite BLEEDING THE FIFTH. Growing by the second, Bleeding the Fifth is practically playing every metal show out there. Recently getting on the immensely wanted Black Dahlia Murder show this fall, they are sure to keep gaining the following that they deserve. Watch out for this band in the years to come. The next band down is HARQUEBUS. This band features Blitzkrieg's own Ryan Katz on guitar and clean vocals. Forming in mid 2003, this band has been through many struggles and recent member changes. This showcase will mark their first show in 6 years. What a historic event for this band and their following. Rounding out the end of the bill is RED EYED RECREANCY. All members still being in high school, one would never guess that when hearing their brutal and intense live sound. This will mark their second show ever, but dont be mistaken. They almost surpassed the headlining band of their last show in ticket sales. This band already has a huge following and will only grow with more shows and experience. Overall, this showcase is one for the ages. Please message us for ticket information and/or directions to the venue. This show will be played at JB's in Kent, Ohio (max 500 people) and is all ages. Now in its 15th year, this is a weekly farmers market which features local farmers, bakers, artisans, and musicians. entertaining programs are the mesmerizing winter wonders you and your family will encounter at the Garden's annual WinterShow. As always, the centerpiece of the WinterShow is the dozens of enchanting gingerbread creations on display as
part of the Garden's annual gingerbread competition. Amateurs, professionals
and even children amaze us year after year with all kinds of new and novel ways that architecture and scenery can be created using only edible building-blocks. It's a Garden tradition, and it's not too late to enter your own creation. (Look for the entry form inside Happenings in this Bulletin.) There's even a new family division this year, so everyone can get in on the act. Let the baking begin! New for this year's WinterShow, we're bringing festive, traditional and nontraditional holiday plants into the Eleanor Armstrong Smith Glasshouse. Look for showy groupings of a favorite holiday plant - the mighty amaryllis - in the Costa Rica Glasshouse. As for the nontraditional, well, that's in the eye of the beholder. You may or may not realize that poinsettias - perhaps the most traditional and popular holiday plant of all - belong to the euphorbia family. The Garden's
wonderful horticulture staff, always on the lookout for new plants to inspire you, will stage a cheerful display of euphorbias - and we're not talking poinsettias - in the Madagascar Glasshouse. Who knows? Maybe we'll start a new holiday decorating fad. Another element that is sure to delight kids of all ages are trains
