The brain child of owners Greg Mohr and Scott Weiner – veterans of several Chicago restaurants – Fifty/50 offers its clientele the perfect sports bar atmosphere whether they are looking for a sit-down dinner, or a casual bar experience. Bite size sliders, stuffed mushrooms, lobster salad sandwiches, and marinated skirt steak with fried onion strings are just a handful of the mouth watering options that Mohr and Weiner have dreamed up, but forget all of those for a second, because I have 4 ½ words for you: Macaroni N’ Cheese Au Gratin. For $8 you can indulge yourself in this reincarnation of a childhood favorite that comes topped with buttered bread crumbs and your choice of one ingredient (Get the bacon. C’mon, you know you want to.). Top it all off with a huge selection of wine, beer, and cocktails, including a “40 oz.” of the week that is served to you in a brown paper bag – no, we’re not kidding.
