Alfresco dining at its finest, Flatwater is one of the few moderately priced restaurants on the Chicago River. Situated below the Clark Street Bridge, this urban setting is the ideal place for a quick lunch break in the sun or after-work drinks beneath the dazzling Chicago skyline. We highly recommend the Aloha Avocado Egg Rolls a flash-fried appetizer prepared with fresh avocado, mango pico de gallo and cilantro-cashew pesto dipping sauce – this favorite brings the crowds. We won’t promise you a view of the Chicago skyline but at the Blue Line Lounge and Grill, you’re guaranteed a unique outdoor dining experience. Located beneath the Damen stop on the Blue Line in Bucktown/Wicker Park, the gentle pulsation of the upstairs subway train lends to a sexy ambience in a 1950s railroad dining car setting. We highly recommend the seasoned sweet potato fries and any of the exotically twisted mojitos, including fan favorites Raspberry and The Social.
