Built in 1889-1890 by Holabird & Roche for millinery firms, it has a super cool The Shining vibe (sans the crazy twins and the busted door). From 5-10pm, the 1930s vintage-industrial space is filled with Looponites drinking their daily stresses away. Take note: the menu is delicious if you want a snack to absorb the alcohol, but you’ll feel it right in the wallet. Hours: Mon-Fri 11am-2am; Sat 10am-3am; Sun 10am-12am

The Tavern is a great spot just a few blocks from Michigan Avenue to grab an after dinner drink with friends.
