This popular gastropub is located directly across from Millennium Park. Built in 1889-1890 by Holabird & Roche for millinery firms, it has a super cool The Shining vibe (sans the crazy twins and the busted door). From 5-10pm, the 1930s vintage-industrial space is filled with Looponites drinking their daily stresses away. Take note: the menu is delicious if you want a snack to absorb the alcohol, but you’ll feel it right in the wallet. Hours: Mon-Fri 11am-2am; Sat 10am-3am; Sun 10am-12am

The Tavern is a great spot just a few blocks from Michigan Avenue to grab an after dinner drink with friends. If one drink turns in to a few and you need something to eat, they also have an impressive menu. Not surprising since the Tavern restaurant is so good and right upstairs. Did we mention it draws a pretty good looking crowd? It does.
