The search for Chicago's best family-friendly-with-a-grown-up-feel breakfast hotspot is over! Bucktown's breakfast staple, Feast, can accommodate, feed, and satisfy diners of all ages. Bask in the summer sun (and Damen Avenue's best people watching) at the sidewalk cafe or dine inside the bright dining room (you may need to keep your glasses on). The giant mugs of fresh roasted coffee should wake you up, or you can try to get some nutrients back in your body with the exotic smoothies. Feast's menu is packed with classics with a twist, like their Crab Cakes Benedict, featuring two gently poached eggs perched atop jumbo lump crab cakes and jalapeno cornbread, smothered with rich, spicy, and smoky chipotle hollandaise. Satisfy your sweet tooth cravings with a decadent helping of Challah French Toast, crowned with fruity peach and blueberry compote and vanilla-scented crème anglaise. Hours: Mon-Sun 9am-3pm; 5:30pm-11pm

Head down to Chicago's hip South Loop neighborhood for breakfast with a fresh squeezed twist. Literally! Orange will fresh-squeeze any combination of fresh fruit or vegetable juice for you, and the possibilities are endless. Ask your server for a recommendation or create your own signature juice; flavors that are sure to satisfy are Apple-Celery and Carrot-Pineapple-Ginger. Want some food to go alongside your creative concoctions? Orange has breakfast dishes that will delight! Jelly Doughnut Pancakes or Chai Tea French Toast will indulge your sweet tooth! Can't decide on just one thing? Try the Pancake Flight (10.95), with a weekly theme ranging from tropical to All-American. If you're breakfast yen is for something more savory, give your mouth a fiesta with spicy Huevos Rancheros or delve into classically prepared Eggs Benedict. With other locations in Roscoe Village and Lakeview, Orange is a convenient first stop. Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-2pm; Sat-Sun 8am-3pm

Run, don't walk, down to Tweet, Uptown's sweetest breakfast spot. Chef Michelle Fire, of Big Chicks renown, opened this spot and is devoted to offering diners only the freshest, tastiest, and organic-est breakfast treats around. Once you're done checking the morning's e-mails and headlines (compliments of Tweet's free Wi-Fi), tuck in to hearty and original breakfast classics like a rich and malty Belgian Waffle topped with light-as-a-feather whipped cream and fresh off the vine fruit. Other tempting fare includes the ever-changing but always tasty Quiche of the Day or a hearty Grilled Pork Chop and Eggs, with a Hebron farm Amish pork chop, two organic eggs any way you like, hash browns, toast AND a fresh fruit cup or compote! Hours: Mon, Wed-Fri 6:30am-3pm; Sat and Sun 9am-3pm

This place ain’t no yolk! So all you breakfast lovers are in for an eggselent treat! (ok, it’s corny but we couldn’t resist). Sneaky suggests you grab a seat and order the Orange Bread French Toast (sweet orange bread, sliced, dipped into our special batter, and grilled, topped with fresh sliced strawberries and drizzled with our own orange sauce). If that doesn’t a-peel to you, don’t get your feathers in a bunch, there are plenty more breakfast selections to sample including; a variety of scramblers and Yolk Crepes, Bacon Waffle & Eggs and a Fresh Squeezed Strawberry-orange Juice to wash it all down. Hours: Mon-Fri 6am-3pm; Sat-Sun 7am-3pm

Overlooking the Ritz Carlton hotel lobby, the Café provides a casual setting for breakfast and specialty coffees. Some our faves include; the Bento Box (Biscuit with Scrambled Egg, Chicken Sausage and Aged Cheddar Cheese, Buckwheat Waffle with Peaches, Seasonal Fruit, Tofu Muffin, Ulmo Tree Honey, Strawberry-Rhubarb and Granola Parfait) or for some outside the Bento Box options - Ricotta Pancakes, Steak and Eggs, Organic Turkey Bacon and Crab Cake Benedict. It’s fancy and pricey – it’s The Ritz! Hours: Sun-Thu 6:30am-11pm; Fri-Sat 6:30am-12am

If you are looking for a home-cooked breakfast like mama used to make stop at the corner of Morgan and Washington where Wishbone’s extensive breakfast menu is filled with treats like the Crunchy French Toast (dipped in corn flakes) for only six bucks! I bet your mom charged more than that. Did someone say "Early Bird Special?" That's right you can get either the Egg & Pancake (a single pancake served with two eggs any style) or Two Eggs (two eggs any style served with patty sausage, home fries or grits [cheese or plain] and a choice of toast, biscuit or corn muffin) for only $3.69. Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-3pm; Tues-Thu 5pm-9pm; Fri-Sat 5pm-10pm; Sat-Sun 8am-3pm
