The Museum of Contemporary Art, one of the nation’s largest modern art facilities, inspires lovers of art with its thought-provoking exhibits. Paintings, sculptures, photography, video and films, and performances all capture contemporary visual culture. The museum’s growing permanent collection of more than 6,000 works features pieces by renowned artists such as Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons as well as a selection of Chicago-based artists. In addition to it celebrated art displays, the Museum of Contemporary Art contains a gift store, bookstore, restaurant, 300-seat theater, and a terraced sculpture garden with a picturesque view of Lake Michigan.
