Be prepared to lay down the plastic at this place and if you are going to complain about local calls costing $1.50 go stay at a Holiday Inn Express. This is a great stay in a perfect location and makes you wonder why you don't just live in a hotel all the time. It's completely upscale and will satisfy even the most persistent complainer.

The James Hotel is the perfect balance between boutique style and upscale luxury. When you consider the location and the experience you will have this is one of the best stays in Chicago. They have a great bar and restaurant within the hotel which doesn't give you a whole lot of reason to leave the property, especially with the minimalist design and relaxing vibe, not to mention marbled bathrooms, plasma TVs and other high tech must-haves. The piled up mail and dirty kitchen at home doesn't give you a whole lot of motivation to leave. We recommend you visit their The Spa by ASHA and think about it.

Designed by the French architect Jean-Paul Viguier (and yes we pulled that from their site and re-named him Pierre), the Sofitel is a stylish hotel experience in a perfect location of Chicago. It's a pretty large hotel with over 400 rooms and situated a stone’s throw (or kitten toss) from Michigan Ave. One of the best perks about staying at the Sofitel is MOST definitely the complimentary breakfasts. Be sure to ask your concierge about that…it just takes a licking of the lips and a small wink to get the special Sneaky treatment.

The only hotel in Chicago that directly overlooks Lake Michigan is the W Chicago Lakeshore Hotel. And one thing is for sure, the W Hotel brand is always consistent. The Lake Shore Drive digs are definitely one of the coolest hotels in Chicago especially because of all their amenities like: pillow-top mattresses, goose down pillows, bicycles to ride along Lake Michigan, indoor pools, Bliss Spa, Bliss Spa, Bliss Spa, internet access, iPods (with preloaded soundtrack to compliment a walk/run along the beach), in room video and DVD libraries, SWEAT fitness center, "Paws" program for pampered pets that includes pet turndown service and pet welcome packages, Sirius Satellite radio, a fully stocked bar…did we mention Bliss Spa?

After hosting multiple heads of state, the royal family, and a long list of A-listers, the Drake is tops among luxury hotels nationwide. When stopping in for business or pleasure, the Drake will cater to your needs, and stop by Coq d'Or, a sneaky recommended Upscale Bar/Lounge that is known for its world famous service and "executive cocktails." Located in view of the lake and just off Michigan Avenue, the "Magnificent-Mile."

Okay, I say Ritz Carlton and you immediately think about how you are going to steal one of their fancy monogrammed robes. Shame on you! The Ritz-Carlton is located on the Magnificent Mile and has so much more to offer than a super-comfy, feels-like-heaven terrycloth robe. For instance, the location is most impressive – atop Water Tower Place, towering over North Michigan Avenue. It also has a great plantscapes in the lobby and a great view of Lake Michigan. You may even feel like you are part of the animal kingdom with all of Mother Nature’s gifts surrounding you. The only thing missing in the lobby o’ wilderness is that super-comfy, feels-like-heaven terrycloth robe.

The Donald did Chicago! And boy, did he do it right with this amazing luxury hotel. Located in the epicenter of Chicago's downtown Loop. The 92-story stainless steel structure is located along the Chicago River, and there is not a bad view in the place – unless of course the Donald’s wispy hair obstructs your view. If that happens Sneaky suggest heading to the spa for a Body Radiance Salt Scrub or perhaps you’d rather tear into a $215 punch bowl - p.i.n.k vodka muddled with strawberries & fresh lime, topped off with rosé champagne
