One of Chicago’s most bustling salons is located on the lower level of the 900 North Michigan Shops so it’s no wonder there’s a chaotic vibe. All the stylists have full schedules (good for them) but the wait can be long (bad for us) and the noise level is high especially with the adjoining spa, but what do you expect being on the Magnificent Mile? The levels of stylists vary but if you do your homework there are some superstar cutters and colorist among them. Tricoci has its own line of makeup, Cose Cosmetics, which is customizable to suit your skin tone. Plus, all the stylists have their own “Mario” name, so I guess that’s kinda funny. Kinda. Situated on the corner of Aberdeen and Madison, they also offer conditioning treatments, waxing, Japanese hair straightening and hair and eyelash extensions for that glamour pus side. Guys or dolls, if you’re feeling daring, ask them about posing for one of their avant garde photos – they definitely consider their hairstyles pieces of art.
