The famous Topolo Margarita by celebrity chef Rick Bayless is a Chicago staple. The magical concoction consists of Sauza Conmemorativo Tequila, Gran Torres Orange Liqueur, limejuice water and sugar. After the ingredients are mixed together and poured in a glass, Rick himself puts his magic saliva in with the drink to complete the process. Ok, maybe that’s a fib, but these drinks ain’t no lie. You will love your Topolo Margarita, so savor every sip. Open Tue-Thu 11:30am-2pm, 5:30pm-9:30pm; Fri 11:30am-2pm, 5:30pm-10:30pm; Sat 5:30pm-10:30pm

Gold Coast's infamous Blue Agave has been the catalyst for many a blurry evening for margarita lovers and newbies alike. We recommend you simply pining a sign on the front of your shirt that says, “If found wondering aimlessly around Chicago, please call my mom to put me to bed.” The Blue Agave margs are famous for being SUPER strong. We recommend the "Horni" margarita (Sauza "hornitos," 100 percent blue agave tequila with a splash of Cointreau orange liqueur), but expect to wake up with bruises and perhaps missing a shoe. Open Mon-Thu,Sun 11:30am-12am; Fri-Sat 11:30am-2am

Any Tequila bar that chooses to name itself “Salud” gets props from us. “Salud” translates as “healthy” and we certainly want our readers to take care of themselves. So, if that means downing a Tradicional margarita – made with Sauza Tres Generaciones, Cointreau and hand-squeezed lime to do the body some good…so be it. Salud offers an amazing selection of 100% agave tequilas, so you know their margaritas are pure octane! Hours: Sun-Fri 5pm-2am; Sat 5pm-3am

They should have named De Cero, De Fall Off The Chair-o! Just one pear-cilantro or hibiscus margarita and you’ll be slurrrring for sure. Thank goodness they have bottomless baskets of chips to prepare your stomach for the impending influx. Sneaky suggestions: De Cero margarita, the Hibiscus margarita and the Guava margarita. Just please be sure to write your address on a napkin and hand it to the cab driver, because after a long night here, simple tasks like speaking English become virtually impossible.
