Be prepared to stumble out of this gem in a blissful daze. Whoever this Sheffield guy is, he sure knows a thing or two about beer. So does his staff of cool, friendly folks. If you don't like this place we're gonna have to ask you to turn in your Sneaky Sunday badge. The beer garden is gigantic and open year around. Sheffy's underwent a recent face lift with plasma screens and the like, but it's still got plenty of that charm it's known for. Hours of Operation: Mon-Fri 3pm-2am, Sat 12pm-3am, Sun 12pm-2am

We walked into this place thinking it would be an excellent spot for cartographers like ourselves to get some vintage maps. Imagine our surprise when we discovered they had beer! And lots of it! In fine Sneaky tradition, we recommend this place on a weekday when you can, uhhh, get a drink and move around. The weekend popularity is a testament to the fact that it's a fine establishment. That or the cat is firmly out of the bag to the tourist set. Free pool is always cool too. Hours of Operation: Mon-Fri 6:30am-2am, Sat 7:30am-3am, Sun 11am-2am

Friends don't let friends drink inferior beer. Many many quality beers are yours for the taking and their bourbon and scotch selection will make your mouth water and your eyes glaze over. It's an inviting place to belly up and spend about 10 hours solving the world's problems. A good mix of people, especially on the weekdays, but be prepared for crowds on the weekend. The jukebox is as diverse as the brews. Hours of Operation: Mon-Thu 4pm-4am, Fri-Sat 4pm-5am, Sun 4pm-2am

Belgian in its roots, Hopleaf has been recognized as one of the best bars in Chicago. The beer selection is awesome, especially if you are a Belgian beer fan. Forty plus taps and well over one hundred bottled beers are featured on the menu, and the bar fare, also Belgian themed, is known as some of the best in the city. Open Mon 12am-2am, 3pm-2am; Tue-Fri 3pm-2am; Sat 3pm-3am; Sun 3pm-12am Hours of Operation: Sun-Fri 3pm-2am, Sat 3pm-3am

One of Chicago’s best beer selections is available in the West Loop at the Beer Bistro. This hidden gem is packed most nights - and days (because the food is a step up from the average bar barf). Guests looking for an attractive wait staff, spotless bathrooms or tables that elbows won’t adhere to best venture elsewhere. For those looking for a beer selection as vast as the Great Wall of China, the Beer Bistro awaits! Since the beer menu is as overwhelming as an all-you-can-eat buffet, it’s recommend that customers take a deep breath and slowly cruise the selections to ensure a successful order. Then again, is there such a thing as an ice-cold beer that tastes bad? Open 11 am -2 am Sunday-Friday; 11 am-3 am Saturday.

OK, so Piece is a pizza place but it’s also a kick ass award-winning brewery. They have about seven to ten homemade beers on tap and they are always changing it up. They also have a live rock band karaoke night, so after a few, get up and show your stuff. If you cant hang out, you can always get a growler to go...really! Hours of Operation: Mon-Thu 11:30am-10:30pm, Fri 11:30am-12:30am, Sat 11am-12:30am, Sun 11am-10pm (bar open Sun-Fri till 2am, Sat till 3am)

It's not often that a beer drinker looking for something special turns to a can. Cans is different though, with 30 cans that are truly special, including the original Budweiser and Old Style, but if you can't stomach canned beer, there is a healthy selection of bottles too. Drop in for 35 cent wings on Monday, and hit the pool tables for a fun night with the boys. Hours of Operation: Mon-Fri 4pm-2am, Sat 10am-3am, Sun 10am-2am
