A haunting work with a stunning set, this show features a play-within-a-play version of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice. Republic of Dreams, conceived and directed by Artistic Director Stacy Klein, explores the writings, art, and life of Polish-Jewish artist Bruno Schulz, culminating in his senseless death at the hands of a jealous Nazi.
