This is one of Boise's most popular evening hangouts almost every night of the week. Its packed the gills on weekends and you'll usually find a line waiting outside to get in. If you're one of those people who absolutely refuse to stand in line discretly hand a $20 to the bouncer and you'll immediatly pass GO. Not recommended but definatly doable. It also has a dance club connected to it called Gusto's. Combined, the 2 make one hell of a night!

A little Island flavor in the middle of the desert? Sure why not. Tiki Torches light up your path to one of Boise's more creative restaurant/bars. Decked out in Island paraphanalia inside and out the Reef feature's some great live music and food. The summer time theme is maintained all year long, although no one goes outside in the middle of January in fear of freezing their tiki's off. Hours of operation: Su-Th 11 a.m.-late, F-Sa 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Happy Hour: Drink specials after 9 p.m.

Known by the locals as "the Bistro", this bar draws in a younger crowd full of energy. It's loud and usually crowded, but its a Boise institution. Its got a lot of space, a good dance floor, 7 pool tables, and in the summer time you can head outside to the patio bar. The music changes more than Michael Jackson's face, but it's guaranteed to be something popular. Hours of operation: M-Th 7 p.m.-2 a.m., F-Sa 5 p.m.-2 a.m. ((M-Tu: Beer Pong Tourny CASH PRIZES, $2 Dom Draft & $5 Pitchers, W: $1 16oz Dom. Opa boasts "sensory illumination" and just because we don't know what that entails, doesn't mean you shouldn't go check this place out. It's unique and interesting interior and great Happy Hour brings people back for more. If martini's are your thing, they have a few stiff one's that will have you screaming "OPA" by the end of the night. Hours of operation: Daily 5 p.m.-2 a.m. Happy Hour: 5-8 p.m. $2 wells, $1 off draft

This bar is located right in the thick of it on the corner of Sixth and Main. They’ve got some great local sets most nights, good drink prices, and fast service. Its not the biggest bar but there’s enough room to establish your personal space and has a great pub feel to it. When it does become crowded the overflow can spill down the stairs to JT Toads. This hidden away "basement" bar has a stage with a dance floor where DJ's and band's perform and an even bigger bar than the upstairs. Because it is a lower-level facility the ceiling seems closer than most. This doesn't seem to bother anyone, it continues to remain a local favorite. Hours of operation: Daily 3 p.m.- CLOSE

Hours of operation Th-Sa only: 4 p.m.-close
