There is no other restaurant like this in Birmingham. Everything is top-notch and fantastically served in a warm contemporary atmosphere. It’s hard for a restaurant to pull off modern and warm cohesively- but they have done it. You will find miso soup on the menu alongside the unexpected like kobe beef baby burgers with tempura vegetables.
Jinsei is located in SoHo/Homewood and don’t take reservations so try to get there a little before the dinner crowds start rolling in. You can sit at coffee tables in the lounge area, the dining table area, outside, or at the sushi bar. By the way, we will do crazy, and we mean crazy, things for the niko roll.
