Image of Basic Obedience Class #2
We all know that some basic obedience training makes dogs more fun to be around. What many of us don't know is that it has other, less obvious, benefits. Obedience training helps your dog see you as their leader, and it also gives them a mental workout--something that many canines need just as much as physical exercise to reduce boredom and make them feel useful. And some commands, like a good recall, may even save your dog's life one day. Here are the basics every dog should know: Sit Down Stay Come Heel PRE-REQUISITES: Dogs must be 6 months or older. What to bring: A hungry dog and soft treats Collar can be buckle or slip collars 6 foot leash Water for you and your dog Poop bags As with all our classes you must be a paid-member of KCA to participate. Image of Practice & Socialization
Come out and join us for some Rally, Tricks, Freestyle, and Socialization. Rally - Shan This week, Shan, filling in for Pam, will set up a Rally course of 10-20 signs with the dog at the handler's left side. At each numbered sign they perform the indicated exercise then move to the next sign. In Rally, there is unlimited communication between your dog and you. The dog and handler team is on its own to complete the course correctly and in a timely fashion. Each course is different and a new "experience," which makes it fun and challenging. Tricks-Sharon Everyother week Sharon comes out to show us how to show us how to get our pups to do some fun tricks. Tricks help your dog to 'learn how to learn'. If your dog can learn tricks, then she can learn obedience and good manners. Go ahead...have some fun and teach your dog a new trick! The best way to teach your dog a trick, is to make it fun for her. Use praise and small treats to reward your dog. Freestyle-Sandy and Shan Shan will bring th boom box so bring your favorate music and show us your moves. Musical Freestyle is a choreographed musical program performed by handlers and their dogs. The object of musical freestyle is to display the dog and handler in a creative, innovative and original dance, using music and intricate movements to showcase teamwork, artistry, costuming, athleticism and style in interpreting the theme of the music. Heelwork-to-Music incorporates traditional dog obedience and the art of dressage with the inclusion of musical interpretation, dance elements, and costuming with an emphasis on non-standard obedience movements. If someone needs practice some basic obedience commands, or brush up on their socialization skills we be there to help you.

Our meetings are usually held at someones house or we can meet at Cindy's restaurant at 3807 Auburn street just west of Oswell. Please e-mail me at thewayistruth@yahoo.com to see if we are going there this week or not. We study the Bible and we are totally unique. I show you how you and I were born into a Matrix. I give you a choice of the red or blue pill. Just kidding! To find out what we are about visit www.thewayistruth.com and click on the houses and the trees as these drawings are lessons from the spirit of truth. If your veil is capable of being removed you will see the Matrix that you were born into. Soon after you decide whether to stay in the Matrix or to leave it to follow The Way, The Truth and The Life.
