The bar scene is quite good as well so feel free to get there before your reservation or stay after your meal. Peasant Bistro is located Downtown overlooking Centennial Olympic Park, within walking distance of the Georgia Aquarium, Phillips arena, the Georgia Dome and all the major downtown hotels. Yeah, this may sound touristy but the space is extremely nice and elegant inside and the menu consists of delicious American and French classics as well as amazing new creations from the Chef. Peasant Bistro also features a solid wine list in every price range. Downtown Atlanta definitely needs more cool upscale hip hangouts but Peasant Bistro is a great start. It's a must try. Their live music on Thursday evenings makes for a nice evening out with a date. All-you-can-eat mussels on Mondays and $5 appetizers after 5pm at the bar every day. Brand new to the restaurant scene, 4th & Swift is soon going to be one of the next spots where it is hard to get a table. Chef, Jay Swift, formerly of South City Kitchen, is known for his down home seasonal comfort food. The food is perfectly paired with the rustic atmosphere creating a one of a kind dining experience. We love trying new and exciting restaurants. You will surely be missing out if you don’t go and see for yourself.

The Buckhead/Midtown strip mall location is probably not going to catch your eye or win any design awards but the lobster enchiladas are so good you won't care. There may not be a restaurant in Atlanta that has a better signature dish. Open Tuesday - Sunday.

The River Room is one of the best places in Atlanta you have never heard of. It is one of those rare restaurants where everything you try is outstanding and you almost wish the place was "family style" so you could try everything. We tried as many dishes as a group could in one sitting and particularly enjoyed the beet salad, fresh figs, pork chop, and scallops. This is a really versatile restaurant and could serve equally well for an important work meeting or a nice date night.
