Bluepointe has excellent sushi and a fantastic full-menu of other items. They have several unique rolls worth trying i.e. the "bluepointe" roll and just about all of the traditional favorites. It is a trendy spot that draws a lot of the work crowd and has popular happy hours, especially on Tuesday. Plenty of people-watching opportunities and plenty of people you would like to make fun of. Hours of Operation: Mon-Fri 11:30am-2:30pm Mon-Thu 5:30pm-11pm Fri-Sat 5:30pm-12am Sun 5:30pm-10pm

Magic Fingers (MF) Sushibar has two great locations, this one in Buckhead and another in Midtown at 265 Ponce De Leon Ave. Both are great, but it's definitely the most expensive sushi in town. Great sushi and elegant atmosphere but we're just not quite sure it's worth the $$$$. Hours: Daily 11:30am - 2:30pm, Sun-Thu 5:30pm - 10:30pm, Fri-Sat 5:30pm - 11:30pm

Whether it's lunch or dinner Steel is an amazing sushi restaurant with a great ambiance. Located near GA Tech the lunch scene is bustling with business types which turns into a more trendy scene for dinner. The Mt. Fuji roll could be the best sushi roll in Atlanta. Other highlights include the Seabass, mandarin chicken, Korean beef and thechocolate Bento box for dessert .

Located on the second floor of Lenox Mall this is a top-notch sushi restaurant for lunch or dinner. Like Bluepointe, there are plenty of other good menu items and the only negative (if you consider it a negative) is that it IS located in a shopping mall. It is slightly upscale so don't confuse this place with a food court destination. Hours of Operation: Mon-Thu 11:30am-2:30pm, 5pm-10pm Fri-Sat 11:30am-2:30pm, 5pm-11pm Sun 5pm-10pm

Again being the sneaksters that we are, we stopped by another sushi bar in a strip mall with a Kroger and were completely impressed. Fresh ingredients mixed with delicious flavors are hallmarks of this place. Sample the Super Crunch, it's one of the best I've tasted EVER and I eat a lot of suhsi.

This is a well known neighborhood spot in the middle of Virginia Highlands that serves good sushi and sake. Also try the Thai. Harry and Son's is just a great choice before heading out and is very busy on the weekends. Hours of Operation: Mon-Thu 11:30am-2:30pm, 5:30pm-10:30pm Fri 11:30am-2:30pm, 5:30pm-11:30pm Sat 12pm-2:30pm, 5:30pm-11:30pm Sun 12pm-2:30pm, 5:30pm-10:30pm

Being sneaky like we are, we stopped by an inconspicuous sushi restaurant in the Disco Kroger shopping center in Buckhead. Serving only the freshest fish, the sushi bar hosts an authentic, non commercial atmosphere that only makes the sushi that much better. So go out on a limb and next time you're craving the freshest, most delicious sushi, stop in.

Thrive is a cool spot in downtown ATL that has historically had limited options. The waitresses get their outfits from a napkin boutique and everyone wears their latest and trendiest gear. The layout and design of the place is impressive and the sushi is good enough to be mentioned. If you are looking for a new spot or hanging out downtown this is worth checking out. Hours of Operation: Lunch Monday-Friday 11:30am-2:30pm Dinner Monday-Saturday 5:30pm-11:00pm After Hours Thursday-Saturday 11:00pm-2am
