The Georgia Aquaruim is the world's largest aquarium and is one of the most popular tourist stops in the South. Unless you have worked for National Geographic, you will see things you have never seen before. There are tourists, lines, senior citizens, and kids everywhere you look, so don't show up thinking you are going to get a private viewing (unless of course you are, as their banquet room is one of the most popular for private, evening events). Hours of Operation: Sun-Thu 8am-6pm Fri-Sat 8am-8pm

Coca-Cola may be the most recognized brand in the world, and if you graduated the 4th grade, you know that it calls Atlanta home. If you want to try flavors of coke from around the world and see the world's largest collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia, take the time to visit this new addition to downtown. The New World of Coke has been open for a short period of time and draws a ton of visitors and foot traffic, so expect a crowd. Hours of Operation: Sep-May Daily 9am-5pm Jun-Aug Daily 8am-6pm

CNN is another one of those things you just associate with Atlanta. The studio tour is a completely unique experience that allows you to see how the news is made in real time. You can check out Anderson Cooper and Dr. Gupta as they challenge Oprah for world power. Reservations are accepted Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET and we suggest making them before heading down. The tour frequently sells out.

Make time to go pay tribute to one of the greatest Americans of all-time. This National Historic Site is a history buff's dream and will leave you with chills. Nothing in Atlanta is more special and sacred than the King Center.

Every major city has a museum that they are known for, and in Atlanta, it happens to be the "High". Check their website for exhibits, shows, upcoming events, etc. and make it a point to go. If you are not into museums but just need to get some culture in you, you'll find something here that suits your tastes.

This is Atlanta's version of Central Park right in Midtown. If you want to roller blade in spandex or have lunch and drinks in the park, you can accomplish both here. There are great views of the city, plenty of space, and plenty of people-watching. The important thing is that you get off your a$$ and go do something with your day. Also note that it's widely accepted to bring coolers full of "beverages" into the park with you to make the day that much more fun.
