Uptown Albuquerque is the location of one of the best places for steak in town. At Marcello’s you’ll be choosing from sirloins, mignons, NY strips, Kobe Steak of the Day, Porterhouses, Chophouse Cut, (Rib Eye from slow roasted Prime Rib, rubbed and seared) and Kansas City New York strip loins. Top it with foie gras, Maytag Bleu cheese, sautéed onions, mushrooms, and then sauce it with their signature M-1 Steak Sauce or béarnaise, brandy cream, red wine reduction or horseradish. Sneak in here for dinner as there are only a couple steaks on the lunch menu! Owner focuses on quality meat and exceptional service! Hours – Dinner Mon-Thurs, 5-10 Fri-Sat, 5-11

Gruet’s is in the same building that houses the Monte Vista Fire Station, (another Sneaky Sunday favorite) which is in Nob Hill and right on Route 66. Just five steak cuts to select from but none will disappoint as this is what the place is about, prime meat! Classic sauces and topping choices as well. The Gruet family is originally from France so that influence is evident and they also just happen to produce some of the finest sparkling wines, chardonnay and pinot noir available! (their vineyards are in southern New Mexico) So check out the wine options to accompany your meal. The minimalistic approach to the décor, sparse but elegant, highlights the superior dining experience! Hours – Daily, 5-10pm

Sneaky Sunday thinks this might be the only place in town that has a dress code – guys, a collared shirt is required if you want to sink your teeth into some of the finest steak around. Well worth the buttoned up look as their “wood grilled” mignons, Wagyu Domestic Kobe cuts, Bison cuts, NY strips, Porterhouse for Two, or Cowboy Cut Ribeye are each superb! Classic sauces as well as some southwest flavors, Red Chile Demi Glace and Raspberry Chipotle! Authentically decorated with artifacts donated by a local rancher, the look draws you into a true cattleman’s life while enjoying the end product! Hours – Lunch Tues-Fri, 11:30-2pm Dinner Mon-Thurs, 5:30-10pm Fri-Sat, 5:30-10:30pm Sun, 5:30-9pm

Truly a traditional American style “supper club” establishment, Paul’s is such a popular place with the locals that a dinner reservation for Fridays or Saturdays is an absolute must! A Sneaky Sunday hint for sure as you’d be missing out if you couldn’t get in here for a steak! There are more than ten different cuts to choose from and they will be cooked to your specification and served up with lots of pride! Expect the typical old school leatherette and heavy wood accents and expect to leave the place with a meat coma coming on fast! Hours – Lunch Mon-Sat, 11-2:30 Dinner Mon-Thurs 5-10pm Fri-Sat 5-10:30

An Albuquerque Westside location overlooking the mesa to the west and the Sandia Mountains eastward, this is an excellent choice for steak. The menu spares you from too many choices, offering a Cowboy Ribeye, Slow roasted Prime Rib, New York Strip or a Peppercorn filet. Any one of these cuts will satisfy the need to eat meat and will be enhanced by the mesquite grilling as well as a one of a kind view of the great Southwest landscape! Hours – Sun-Wed 4-10pm Thurs 4-11pm Fri-Sat 4-midnight
